Our Company has participated in several projects related with municipal solid waste (MSW) incineration plants, designing, constructing and installing recovery boilers and auxiliary equipment.
2003 | LURGIE ENERGIE Meruelo
Assembly of a municipal solid waste recovery boiler – cogenerating plant managed by Urbaser in Meruelo (Cantabria - Spain).
The plant represents an innovation in the local renewable energy generation as its fuel is made of by-products from local wood small and medium business.
The entire project was originally commissioned to Lurgi Energie which, in turn, outsourced to Termisa Energía the development of the assembly.

2001 | TERSA Sant Adrià del Besós
Retrofitting of an existing Municipal Solid Waste Plant in Barcelona.
Three Recovery Boilers and auxiliary equipment.
The development of the project has involved:
- Basic and detailed engineering.
- Construction.
- Assembly.
- Start-up and testing.
Moreover, we designed a new type of waste supply, the combustion control with a new geometry of the combustion chamber and primary, secondary and tertiary air supply.
The whole project was carried out within a four months 24/7 programmed stop.

Municipal solid waste recovery boiler in Melilla (Spain) commissioned by Residuos de Melilla S.A.
The development of the project has involved:
- Basic and detailed engineering.
- Construction.
- Assembly.
- Start-up and testing.
Moreover, we supplied the whole design and development engineering, a boiler water treatment plant, waste oils and fuel storage, as well as the whole compressed air and control, industrial water and fire water system, and the whole piping interconnection system.
